Present Perfect Continuous Tense

Formula :

( + ) : S + have/has + been + Ving

( - ) : S + have/has + not + been + Ving

( ? ) : Have/has + S + been + Ving

1.   Present perfect continuous tense digunakan untuk menunjukan suatu kejadian atau peristiwa yang terjadi pada waktu lampau, yang masih berlangsung sampai sekarang dan masih akan terus pada waktu yang akan datang

Example :

1. The children have been swimming for nearly 2 hours

2. My Sister has been staying in England for 3 years

3. Alex has been working for this company for 7 months

2.   Present perfect continuous tense dengan “since atau for “, untuk menunjukan bahwa suatu kegiatan telah terjadi atau dilakukan berulang-ulang

Example :

1. The man has been playing football since he was still 10 years old

2. Alex has been collecting stamps since she was still 6 years old

3. You Father has been smoking since he was still twenty years old

3.   Kalimat Tanya

Kalimat Tanya dalam present perfect continuous tense dibentuk dengan menempatkan auxiliary have atau has di depan subjek kalimat

Example :

1. Have you been living in this city since you were still a child ?

2. Has She been waiting for me long ?

3. Have Alex been studying English for 6 months ?
